This is a wonderful little booklet debunking the traditional Friday crucifixion theory and supporting the truth that it really was "three days and three nights." Dr. Sadler was a dear friend to many of us in the minstry and provided this booklet free to any that desired it. I have tried to keep it exactly as it was originally printed in 1939. The only additions I have made is to put it in outline form to make it a bit easier to use as a series of lessons for Sunday School or services. I do believe Dr. Sadler would be pleased with making this available and trust also that it will be a blessing to all read it.

OUR CHURCH-The Grace Baptist Church is located on Old Hwy 11 just outside the city of Beattyville here in the mountains of Eastern KY. Our Pastor is Bro. Richard D. Adams. He has been Pastor since 2001 and was Pastor of Lynams Creek Baptist Church for over 17 years before coming to Grace. The Grace Baptist Church was organized under the authority of the South Irvine Baptist Church and called Bro. Elgie Hornsby as their first missionary Pastor. Others that have pastored are Bro. Andy Sexton under whose ministry the work was organized, Bro. Tim Armold, Bro. Rick Catt, and Bro. Adrian Mckinney.
The GBC is also the home of the Grace Baptist Academy. Our administrator is Bro. Bill Jewell who is supported in this great ministry by his wife, Christine, and Alice Jewell. We usually average approximately 20 students from K-12. The school has been an integral part of the ministry of our church since its beginning.
The work began in a small rented building at the start, moved to a small single wide mobile home, bought property to build a new facility upon, and eventually moved into a new building. A new worship center has been built and is now in use. If you are in this neck of the woods, stop by and visit with us.

POEMS--Never before published outside the family. 1. The Old Church Yard by Clayton Adams. THE LIGHTER SIDE FOR SUMMER (Will change these monthly, or thereabouts!) DARIN AWARD #2 (From the Web Site, “Good Clean Fun.” Larry's boyhood dream was to fly. When he graduated from high school, he joined the Air Force in hopes of becoming a pilot. Unfortunately, poor eyesight disqualified him. When he was finally discharged, he had to satisfy himself with watching jets fly over his backyard. A United pilot first spotted Larry. He radioed the tower and described passing a guy in a lawn chair with a gun. Radar confirmed the existence of an object floating 11,000 feet above the airport. LAX is right on the ocean. Night was falling and the offshore breeze began to flow. It carried Larry out to sea with the helicopter in hot pursuit. These people should not be allowed to venture out into society... Police in Wichita, Kansas, arrested a 22-year-old man at an airport hotel after he tried to pass two (counterfeit) $16 bills. A man in Johannesberg, South Africa, shot his 49-year-old friend in the face, seriously wounding him, while the two practiced shooting beer cans off each other's head. A company trying to continue its five-year perfect safety record showed its workers a film aimed at encouraging the use of safety goggles on the job. According to Industrial Machinery News, the film's depiction of gory industrial accidents was so graphic that twenty-five workers suffered minor injuries in their rush to leave the screening room. Thirteen others fainted, and one man required seven stitches after he cut his head falling off a chair while watching the film. The Chico, California, City Council enacted a ban on nuclear weapons, setting a $500 fine for anyone detonating one within city limits. A bus carrying five passengers was hit by a car in St. Louis, but by the time police arrived on the scene, fourteen pedestrians had boarded the bus and had begun to complain of whiplash injuries and back pain. Swedish business consultant Ulf af Trolle labored 13 years on a book about Swedish economic solutions. He took the 250-page manuscript to be copied, only to have it reduced to 50,000 strips of paper in seconds when a worker confused the copier with the shredder. A convict broke out of jail in Washington D.C., then a few days later accompanied his girlfriend to her trial for robbery. At lunch, he went out for a sandwich. She needed to see him, and thus had him paged. Police officers recognized his name and arrested him as he returned to the courthouse in a car he had stolen over the lunch hour. Police in Radnor, Pennsylvania, interrogated a suspect by placing a metal colander on his head and connecting it with wires to a photocopy machine. The message "He's lying" was placed in the copier, and police pressed the copy button each time they thought the suspect wasn't telling the truth. Believing the "lie detector" was working, the suspect confessed. When two service station attendants in Ionia, Michigan, refused to hand over the cash to an intoxicated robber, the man threatened to call the police. They still refused, so the robber called the police and was arrested. A Los Angeles man who later said he was "tired of walking," stole a steamroller and led police on a 5 mph chase until an officer stepped aboard and brought the vehicle to a stop. Homossassa, FL. A man went into a hardware store to apply for a job. After completing his application he then went to the section of the store that sold guns. He asked to see a couple guns. The attendent left for a moment and the guy stole the guns. 3. That Day, first attempt at a poem from the heart.
Larry Waters of Los Angeles-- one of the few Darwin winners to survive his award-winning accomplishment.
One day, Larry, had a bright idea. He decided to fly. He went to the local Army-Navy surplus store and purchased 45 weather balloons and several tanks of helium. The weather balloons, when fully inflated, would measure more than four feet across.
Back home, Larry securely strapped the balloons to his sturdy lawn chair. He anchored the chair to the bumper of his jeep and inflated the balloons with the helium. He climbed on for a test while it was still only a few feet above the ground.
Satisfied it would work, Larry packed several sandwiches and a six- pack of Miller Lite, loaded his pellet gun-- figuring he could pop a few balloons when it was time to descend-- and went back to the floating lawn chair. He tied himself in along with his pellet gun and provisions. Larry's plan was to lazily float up to a height of about 30 feet above his back yard after severing the anchor and in a few hours come back down.
Things didn't quite work out that way.
When he cut the cord anchoring the lawn chair to his jeep, he didn't float lazily up to 30 or so feet. Instead he streaked into the LA sky as if shot from a cannon.
He didn't level of at 30 feet, nor did he level off at 100 feet. After climbing and climbing, he leveled off at 11,000 feet. At that height he couldn't risk shooting any of the balloons, lest he unbalance the load and really find himself in trouble. So he stayed there, drifting, cold and frightened, for more than 14 hours. Then he really got in trouble.
He found himself drifting into the primary approach corridor of Los Angeles International Airport.
LAX emergency procedures swung into full alert and a helicopter was dispatched to investigate.
Several miles out, the helicopter caught up with Larry. Once the crew determined that Larry was not dangerous, they attempted to close in for a rescue but the draft from the blades would push Larry away whenever they neared.
Finally, the helicopter ascended to a position several hundred feet above Larry and lowered a rescue line. Larry snagged the line and was hauled back to shore. The difficult maneuver was flawlessly executed by the helicopter crew.
As soon as Larry was hauled to earth, he was arrested by waiting members of the LAPD for violating LAX airspace.
As he was led away in handcuffs, a reporter dispatched to cover the daring rescue asked why he had done it. Larry stopped, turned and replied nonchalantly, "A man can't just sit around." http://www.geocities.com/good_clean_fun_2/darwin-2.htm
